Job summary

SGQ CORP PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced pipelayer to join our team in the Hervey Bay area, Queensland.

The role requires laying sewer, stormwater, and water mains with precision, reading plans, and setting up levels and pipe lasers to ensure accuracy and safety on site. You will work within a supportive team, uphold safe work procedures in deep trench environments, and contribute to meeting daily productivity targets with quality workmanship while maintaining a strong focus on site safety

Qualifications

• Pipelayer experience in civil construction or utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and standards.
• Experience setting up levels and laser alignment for pipework.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Job description

SGQ is looking for an experience pipelayer to join our team in the Hervey Bay area.

Key Responsibilities:

Lay sewer, stormwater, and water mains with precision.

Set up and operate levels and pipe lasers.

Read, interpret, and apply construction plans and standards.

Upholding and enforcing safe work procedures in deep trench environments

Ensuring daily productivity targets, quality workmanship, and jobsite safety

Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure project success.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in civil construction, particularly in pipelaying & pit-building for subdivisions and road projects

Experience across Watermain, Sewer main and Stormwater lines

Experience in deep excavation work utilising trench shoring/shields

Strong understanding of levels, laser setups, and plan interpretation.

Desirable: High Risk Work Licence – DG (Dogman)

Desirable: Confined spaces & Quick-cut competency

Training Available to upskill as needed
