Job summary

Uniplan Group in Armidale is seeking an experienced Painter to join our manufacturing team, focusing on brand-new modular builds. You will prep surfaces and apply coatings for interior and exterior environments, with a strong emphasis on quality finishes.

The role emphasizes working on new residential and commercial-style builds at our Armidale facility, with stable, full-time hours and a clear pathway to long-term local employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' painting experience in Australia.
• Demonstrated interior and exterior painting experience.
• Commercial and/or residential construction experience.
• Strong experience using spray equipment.
• Excellent preparation and finishing skills.
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Trade qualification highly regarded, but not essential for experienced applicants.

Responsibilities

• Preparing interior and exterior surfaces for painting.
• Filling holes, cracks and gaps and completing surface preparation.
• Applying paints and coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Confidently using spray equipment to achieve professional finishes.
• Completing interior and exterior painting across new builds.
• Completing touch-ups and rectification work.
• Maintaining painting equipment, tools and work areas.
• Working collaboratively with other trades throughout production.
• Maintaining Uniplan's quality and safety standards.
