Job summary

Uniplan Group in Armidale is seeking an experienced Painter to join our manufacturing team, working predominantly on brand-new modular builds.

This full-time role requires a minimum of 5 years' painting experience in Australia, including interior and exterior work on residential and commercial constructions. You'll use spray equipment and be part of a tight-knit production team delivering high-quality finishes.

Experienced Painter | New Builds | Full-Time Armidale

Uniplan Group is seeking an experienced Painter to join our manufacturing team in Armidale.

Whether you're trade qualified or have built your skills through years of hands-on industry experience, we'd like to hear from you.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' painting experience in Australia, including demonstrated experience across interior and exterior commercial and/or residential construction.

This is an opportunity to secure stable, long-term local employment, working predominantly on brand-new builds with one of NSW's largest modular building manufacturers.

Our Armidale manufacturing facility has an impressive range of buildings under construction at any given time. Our unique production process operates to a precise, regulated "drum beat", with each building moving through specialised workstations – starting as a steel chassis and transforming into a completed, ready-to-occupy building in as little as 21 days.

New Builds – Not Repaints

Our painting team works predominantly on brand-new modular buildings, from initial surface preparation through to the final quality finish.

You’ll work across new residential and commercial-style builds within our Armidale manufacturing facility, rather than travelling between existing homes completing repaint or renovation work.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing interior and exterior surfaces for painting
• Filling holes, cracks and gaps and completing surface preparation
• Applying paints and coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment
• Confidently using spray equipment to achieve professional, high-quality finishes
• Completing interior and exterior painting across new residential and commercial-style builds
• Completing touch-ups and rectification work
• Maintaining painting equipment, tools and work areas
• Working collaboratively with other trades throughout production
• Maintaining Uniplan's quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' painting experience in Australia
• Demonstrated interior and exterior painting experience
• Commercial and/or residential construction experience
• Strong experience using spray equipment
• Excellent preparation and finishing skills
• High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong reliability and work ethic
• Trade qualification highly regarded, but not essential for experienced applicants
