Job summary

Thriving Ability Support is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay. We are committed to meaningful, person-centered support that promotes independence and community participation.

The ideal candidate will have prior disability support experience, the ability to respond to behavioral and emotional challenges, and the reliability to work collaboratively with families and health professionals.

• Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and other service providers.
• Follow individual support plans, behavioral strategies and risk management procedures.
• Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports and other required documentation.

About You

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered support.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with varying levels of assistance and complex support needs.
• Confidence in responding appropriately to behavioral, emotional and communication challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with participants and families.
• A calm, patient and professional approach to challenging situations.
• A sound understanding of participant choice, dignity and independence.
• The ability to work independently, show initiative and adapt to individual needs.
• Reliability, consistency and effective collaboration with families and allied health professionals.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), where required.
• Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Previous experience in disability support.
