Brisbane Care Services is seeking an experienced male Disability Support Worker to support participants across Brisbane’s northside. This is a contractor role covering Burpengary, Bracken Ridge, Clayfield and Griffin areas.

Ideal candidates are calm, reliable, and able to follow support plans while communicating changes promptly to families and the team.

Male Disability Support Worker – North Brisbane | Contractor

Brisbane Care Services is looking for an experienced and reliable male Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting participants across Brisbane’s northside.

Due to the individual support needs and preferences of the participants currently requiring support, we are specifically seeking a male support worker for this role.

We’re not looking for someone who simply turns up for a shift. We want someone who takes the time to know the person they’re supporting, understands the responsibility that comes with the role, communicates well and can be relied upon by participants, families and the wider team.

You’ll ideally be someone who is calm, personable and able to build rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. You should be comfortable taking initiative, following support plans and communicating changes or concerns promptly.

Requirements:

• To work with us as an independent contractor, you will need:
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current Blue Card where required for the participants you support
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Current Australian driver licence
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle
  • Appropriate comprehensive or business-use vehicle insurance for transporting participants where required
  • ABN
  • Appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance
  • Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated disability support experience
  • Smartphone and ability to use online rostering/reporting systems
  • Right to work in Australia
  • At least a Certificate III in Disability and Aged Care (or equivalent) or willing to obtain.
