Chefs On The Run is a national hospitality staffing agency with 36+ years of placing experienced kitchen staff across Brisbane and surrounding regions. Join our casual chef pool and take control of your schedule, working across restaurants, clubs, resorts, aged care, health care, and catering with great pay and genuine flexibility.

We value individuals who are reliable, adaptable and dedicated to food safety, with current checks and a willingness to obtain required certificates.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher required.
• Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship kitchen experience.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Current NDIS Check or Police Check – Unsupervised/Vulnerable People.

Responsibilities

• Cook across hospitality, catering, aged care, and FIFO venues.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all sites.
• Operate independently across varied kitchen environments and menus.
• Adapt to venue-specific requirements and kitchen teams.
• Support venues during peak periods and event catering as needed.

Chefs On The Run is a National Hospitality staffing agency with over 36 years placing experienced

kitchen staff across the Brisbane and surrounding regions. Family-owned and people-first — we know

every chef on our books by name.

About the Role

Join our casual chef pool and take control of your schedule. Work across restaurants, clubs, resorts, aged

care, health care, and catering on the Brisbane and surrounding areas. Great pay, genuine flexibility,

and a team that knows who you are.

Duties

• Cook across hospitality, catering, aged care, and FIFO venues
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all sites
• Operate independently across varied kitchen environments and menus
• Adapt to venue-specific requirements and kitchen teams
• Support venues during peak periods and event catering as needed

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher required
• Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship kitchen experience
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Current NDIS Check (Required to work in Aged Care) or Police Check — Unsupervised/Vulnerable People

Due to the nature of the work we do, we require all employees to have a current Police Check or NDIS Check. Working With Children Checks are also required for all work in Child Care, Schools and quite a lot of Hospitality. If you are unable, or not prepared, to obtain a Police Check or NDIS Check, please don’t apply to work with us.
