Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking Casual - Qualified Chefs to prepare, cook and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and guests in remote-site operations.

You will work in a high-volume kitchen, providing exceptional service while maintaining strict food-safety standards and collaborating with the Head Chef on specials. Accommodation, meals, and uniform are provided plus casual loading and penalties.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume, buffet-style kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate.
• Passion for exceptional customer service.
• Ability to follow safe food handling procedures.
• Maintain professional standards in a high-pressure kitchen.
• Pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening, and police clearance required; driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and guests.

• ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines, and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

• The Position:
