Job summary

Dayboro Bakery is seeking a skilled Baker to join our busy Dayboro team. This full-time role requires hands-on baking experience, attention to detail and the ability to work early mornings to meet daily customer demand.

You will prepare doughs, bake a range of breads and pastries, follow recipes and production schedules, operate ovens and mixers, and maintain a clean, safe workplace while delivering high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery experience in a retail or commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of bread production and bakery processes.
• Good communication and reliability.
• Ability to work early mornings and meet production timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead and bake bread, rolls and other bakery products.
• Follow recipes, production schedules and quality standards.
• Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, proofers and dough machinery.
• Monitor dough quality, baking times and finished product presentation.
• Ensure all products are baked fresh and ready for daily customer demand.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized bakery work area.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation, ingredient preparation and minimising wastage.
