Job summary

Bakers Delight Summerhill is seeking an experienced and motivated Baker to join our team, producing high-quality artisan breads and bakery products while upholding Bakers Delight’s standards of quality, food safety and customer satisfaction.

The role is full-time with early morning shifts in a supportive team environment within a nationally recognised bakery network. Applicants should have at least 1 year in a commercial bakery; a Certificate III in Baking or equivalent is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant full-time experience as a Baker.
• Certificate III in Baking or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Experience working in a commercial bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bread production techniques.
• Ability to work early morning shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.
• Measure and prepare ingredients in accordance with production recipes.
• Monitor dough quality throughout the production process.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all products meet Bakers Delight quality standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise product waste.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production requirements.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas.
