Job summary

Bakers Delight Dickson is seeking an experienced Baker to join our team in Australia. You will be producing high-quality artisan breads, maintaining Bakers Delight standards of quality, food safety and customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time role with ongoing training and career development opportunities. We value reliability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work early morning shifts in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of full-time baking experience.
• Bakery environment experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of bread production techniques and bakery processes.
• Willingness to work early morning shifts and meet production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.
• Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
• Monitor dough quality to ensure consistency and product quality.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and safety requirements at all times.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas.
• Collaborate with the bakery team to meet daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.
• Measure and prepare ingredients in accordance with production recipes and specifications.
• Monitor dough quality throughout the production process to ensure consistency and product quality.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all products meet Bakers Delight quality standards and production specifications.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in minimising product waste.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets and requirements.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment, utensils and work areas.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant full-time experience as a Baker.
• Relevant baking qualification, such as Certificate III in Baking or equivalent, is highly regarded.
• Previous experience working in a commercial bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bread production techniques and bakery processes.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and meet production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
