Job description

Job Description

04th November, 2026

This is not just another recruitment role.
We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to join a Norwest based team and help connect people with real career opportunities in the building and construction industry.
This role is all about finding the right people, creating great candidate experiences and helping build strong apprenticeship pathways. You will be working in a sector where recruitment has a genuine impact, supporting candidates as they take their first step into a trade while helping industry build the workforce it needs for the future.
The role will suit someone who knows recruitment, enjoys people and likes the idea of bringing fresh thinking to how things are done. You will be confident managing end to end recruitment, but also able to step back, look at the bigger picture and identify ways to improve processes, candidate attraction and overall recruitment outcomes.
Experience within apprenticeships, Group Training Organisations, employment services, labour hire, vocational education or a similar workforce environment would be highly regarded.

About the Role

As Senior Recruiter, you will take ownership of recruitment activity for apprenticeship opportunities across the building and construction sector. You will work closely with candidates, internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure recruitment is proactive, organised and aligned with industry needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing end to end recruitment, including advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing and candidate management
  • Building strong talent pipelines for apprenticeship opportunities
  • Creating a positive and engaging candidate experience from enquiry through to placement
  • Engaging with candidates, schools, training providers, community organisations and industry stakeholders
  • Working with internal teams to understand recruitment needs and workforce priorities
  • Looking for ways to improve recruitment processes, systems and communication
  • Supporting practical candidate attraction strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring recruitment activity is compliant and well documented

About You

You are an experienced recruiter who enjoys working with people and takes pride in finding the right fit. You are organised, proactive and confident dealing with candidates and stakeholders from a range of backgrounds. You will bring energy, initiative and a practical mindset. You do not need to be told that good recruitment is more than just posting ads and waiting for applicants. You know how to search, engage, follow up and keep things moving.

To be successful, you will ideally bring

  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, apprenticeship recruitment or workforce placement
  • Background in apprenticeships, GTO, employment services, labour hire, training or construction related recruitment (highly regarded)
  • Strong sourcing, screening and interviewing skills
  • A strategic mindset and interest in process improvement
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A practical, solutions focused approach
  • Confidence using recruitment systems, databases and Microsoft Office

What’s on Offer

  • Norwest location
  • Senior recruitment role in a purpose driven industry environment
  • Opportunity to support apprenticeship pathways and construction workforce outcomes
