Job summary

Pharma People is assisting an established not-for-profit aged care provider in Melbourne to appoint a General Manager – Community Services. The role leads SaH, CHSP and related programs with a focus on compliant, client-centred care and sustainable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience at General Manager level or equivalent in aged care/community services.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and related frameworks.
• Strong governance, person-centred care, consumer rights and quality management.
• Exceptional commercial acumen with budgeting, workforce planning and sustainable growth.
• Proven ability to lead organisational change and improve operational systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and board-level negotiation skills, with cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across community services, including SaH and CHSP.
• Drive implementation and ongoing compliance of aged care reforms and standards.
• Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Lead financial performance, budgeting, and workforce planning for sustainable growth.
• Strengthen service delivery models, systems and processes to improve outcomes.
• Build relationships with clients, families, government bodies and community stakeholders.
• Inspire and develop a multidisciplinary leadership team and foster a high-performing culture.
