Job summary

Rabobank is seeking an accomplished Executive Director, Corporate Banking to join our Wholesale Banking team in Australia or New Zealand. This senior role leads strategic client relationships, originates new business and delivers tailored financial solutions for large, complex organisations in Food and Agribusiness, with exposure to Energy Transition clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, agriculture or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in corporate and institutional banking, leveraged finance or a comparable environment.
• Demonstrated relationship-management and business-origination experience.
• Strong corporate credit assessment, financial analysis and debt-structuring capability.
• Experience pitching and negotiating debt solutions with senior executives.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, structured finance, accounting, tax and relevant legal considerations.
• Knowledge of debt products, financial markets and sustainable finance solutions.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary deal teams and manage complex credit and transaction processes.
• Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Confident, articulate and collaborative communication style.
• Affinity with Food and Agribusiness and interest in sector’s long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of high-value corporate relationships.
• Lead client strategy, deal origination and transaction execution.
• Identify lending, capital structure, working capital and risk-management opportunities.
• Prepare and present client pitches and financing solutions.
• Lead conversations with CEOs, CFOs, treasurers and business owners.
• Coordinate credit, legal and approval processes from origination through to completion.
• Bring together product, credit and sector specialists for integrated client experience.
• Connect clients with Rabobank’s global knowledge, network and capital structuring capabilities.
• Steer client service teams and develop long-term relationship strategies.
• Actively manage portfolio risk, concentration and returns.
• Represent Wholesale Banking in local market and Rabobank network.
• Coach and lead Coverage Banking colleagues where applicable.
• Help clients navigate sustainability journeys with commercial insight.
