SA Health’s Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Aboriginal Health Division, providing confidential administrative and project support to drive improvements in Aboriginal health outcomes across southern Adelaide.

The role reports to the Executive Director, coordinating calendars, governance meetings, and reporting; you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and support Closing the Gap initiatives and NSQHS

Executive Assistant to Executive Director — Aboriginal Health Division | SALHN

Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Aboriginal Health Division, playing a central role in supporting leadership that is driving meaningful improvements in Aboriginal health outcomes across southern Adelaide. If you are an experienced EA who wants their contribution to count beyond the calendar, this is the role for you.

About the role:

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible forproviding an effective and efficient confidential administrative and project support service to an assigned member of the Executive within the Office of the CEO that contributes to the timely achievement of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) service objectives.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Efficiently coordinating and maintaining the executive's calendar, ensuring optimal use of their time and the effective scheduling of meetings and appointments.
  • Coordinating key Aboriginal Health governance committee meetings, including the preparation of agendas and papers, taking minutes, and maintaining action registers.
  • Coordinating the flow of correspondence and executive meeting reporting requirements; monitoring key actions, reporting deadlines and deliverables across the Aboriginal Health portfolio; ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met; and maintaining records within the official records management system.
  • Supporting Aboriginal Health projects and strategic reporting requirements, including Closing the Gap initiatives, the Aboriginal Health Equity Plan, NSQHS requirements and reconciliation priorities.
  • Coordinating community engagement activities, including Aboriginal community forums and the Consumer Advisory Group.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the designated Executive and internal and external stakeholders, representing the Executive Office in a professional manner and promoting effective communication and coordination.

About you:

  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines and perform well under pressure and have sound knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of working in a CEO’s office,
  • Proven ability to recognise and discreetly deal with confidential matters; demonstrate integrity of the highest order and exercise diplomatic skills appropriate to sensitive and high-level issues,
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of independence, determine priorities and anticipate the requirements of an Executive Team,
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role,
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
