Job summary

Hamilton Island Enterprises on Hamilton Island, QLD, is seeking an experienced Events Manager - Weddings to lead our Weddings team and oversee planning and delivery of weddings across unique island venues.

You will collaborate with couples, celebrants, stylists and suppliers, coach your team, manage multiple events, and ensure exceptional service from planning through to wedding day at one of Australia's iconic destination wedding locations.

Qualifications

• Strong management experience within weddings, events or a closely related hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering weddings and complex events.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop an events team.
• Exceptional organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
• Strong client, supplier and stakeholder management skills.
• A calm, solutions-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied hours in line with wedding and event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Weddings team and oversee planning and delivery of weddings across Hamilton Island, ensuring couples receive exceptional service from planning stages through to their wedding day.
• Support and develop your team, oversee event planning and operational delivery, and ensure the many moving parts behind each wedding come together seamlessly.
• Work closely with couples, celebrants, stylists, suppliers and internal teams, confidently managing competing priorities and resolving challenges.
