Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced Events Manager - Weddings to lead the Weddings team on Hamilton Island. You will oversee planning and delivery of destination weddings across unique island venues, ensuring flawless execution from the planning stages through to the wedding day.

This hands-on management role requires strong leadership, impeccable organisation and the ability to balance multiple events with supplier and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Strong management experience within weddings, events or a closely related hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering weddings and complex events.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop an events team.
• Exceptional organisation with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
• Strong client, supplier and stakeholder management skills.
• A calm, solutions‑focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied hours in line with wedding and event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Weddings team and oversee the planning and delivery of weddings across Hamilton Island, ensuring couples receive exceptional service from planning stages through to the wedding day.
• Support and develop your team, oversee event planning and operational delivery, and ensure the many moving parts behind each wedding come together seamlessly.
• Work closely with couples, celebrants, stylists, suppliers and internal teams to confidently manage competing priorities, resolve challenges and maintain exceptional standards across every celebration.
