Job summary

Catering HQ at Brothers Leagues Club in Cairns is seeking a dynamic events coordinator with 1–2 years' experience in event sales. You will drive end-to-end event execution, engage clients, and build strong relationships while managing proposals and delivery.

This hands-on role emphasizes sales and exceptional service. The successful candidate will coordinate with venue teams, update event packages, and pursue new business opportunities to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in a similar role with event sales.
• Experience with IVVY Sales and Catering (or similar).
• Strong sales drive and customer service focus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Organised with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer database to leverage repeatable sales opportunities.
• Acquire and follow up on leads including preparing and presenting event proposals.

Catering HQ is looking for a dynamic and passionate professional with proven experience in end to end event coordination to join our talented and dedicated team at Brothers Leagues Club in Cairns!

THE ROLE

Your primary responsibility is the execution of high quality, smooth running events which exceed client expectations whilst developing and maintaining these client relationships and to ensure that all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner and customer expectations are exceeded. This role also has operational requirements and is a hands on role.

• Build and maintain customer database to leverage repeatable sales opportunities
• Acquiring and following up on leads including preparing and presenting event proposals
• Assist with end to end event coordination from sales to set up and delivery of an amazing event
• Updating venue event packages as required
• Generating new business opportunities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role which includes event sales
• Experience with IVVY Sales and Catering (or similar events program)
• Proven ability to drive sales
• Exceptional customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
• Engaging personal presence with outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Passionate approach to sales
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
