Job summary

Catering HQ is seeking a Functions and Events Operations Supervisor to help run functions and events at the Cronulla RSL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our talented and passionate team.

We are a family-run company with multiple venues, focused on delivering high-quality, smooth-running events that exceed client expectations. You will lead a team, manage guest interactions, and ensure flawless event execution from setup to pack down.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Exposure to rostering and people development.
• Strong customer service focus with a professional, upbeat personality.
• Excellent presentation, grooming and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with colleagues and management to solve problems and improve service.
• Lead the team to execute a range of functions and events for clients.
• Engage with customers, learning names and preferences to personalise service.
• Understand needs and strive to exceed expectations during events.
• Provide consistent, high-quality service throughout each event.
• Assist in achieving business goals as set by management.
• Set up and pack down function spaces efficiently.
• Supervise the team to ensure flawless event execution from start to finish.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
• Work with the team to execute a variety of functions and events for our customers
• Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
• Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements
• Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event
• Assist in reaching business goals and objectives as set out by management
• Set up and pack down of function spaces
• Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set up to pack down

KEY QUALITIES:

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience a similar role
