Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking an ETCS Maintenance Lead for a temporary fixed-term role based in Alexandria, NSW. You will coordinate monitoring, fault triage, and resolution across ETCS Level 2 and its subsystems, working with engineering teams, vendors and stakeholders to maintain safety and reliability.

This 24‑month opportunity requires on-site presence in Alexandria, with comprehensive training during the initial six months and a rotating roster once operational.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of monitoring, triaging, and resolving faults across the ETCS Level 2 system and subsystems.
• Work with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure safety, reliability and operational performance in a 24/7 environment.
• Coordinate fault diagnosis and incident response, outages, root cause analysis, and provide clear performance reporting.
• Support rollout of world‑class rail technology through system integration and operational readiness activities.
