Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer Electrical to join our team and provide specialist engineering support for the safe, reliable operation of the electrical SCADA network across the rail network.

You will deliver technical expertise across the maintenance, operation, development and lifecycle management of SCADA systems, supporting 24/7 monitoring and control of critical electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

Experience with electrical SCADA systems.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Ability to develop standards and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and technical support for electrical SCADA systems and associated infrastructure.
Manage SCADA maintenance, upgrades, configuration, commissioning and testing.
Investigate faults, system issues and incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain SCADA standards, procedures, work instructions and technical documentation.
Support system improvements, projects and integration of new equipment and technologies.
Maintain configuration control and ensure SCADA systems are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
Develop and improve graphical user interfaces and operator training.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, projects and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Provide technical leadership and specialist advice for safe decision making.
Advise on strategies for future enhancement/upgrade of electrical SCADA components.
