Siteforce Recruitment is seeking an Estimator for walling, cladding & flooring systems in South East Queensland. You will review drawings, complete quantity take-offs, prepare estimates and coordinate with builders and suppliers to ensure accurate, commercial pricing.

Experience in residential estimating and ability to read plans will be valued, with a focus on clarity, risk management and timely tender submissions.

Estimator – Walling, Cladding & Flooring Systems
South East Queensland

Siteforce Recruitment is seeking a detail-focused Estimator to prepare accurate quotations and tenders for an established company specialising in walling, cladding, flooring systems and architectural coatings.

This opportunity suits someone with residential construction estimating experience who understands trade packages, can interpret drawings accurately and produces clear, commercially sound pricing.

About the Role

Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to establish the scope of work.

Complete quantity take-offs for materials, installation and associated finishes.

Prepare estimates covering materials, labour, subcontractors, equipment and access requirements.

Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Identify missing information, scope gaps and pricing risks, and raise queries before submission.

Prepare clear quotations detailing inclusions, exclusions and assumptions.

Liaise with builders, suppliers and internal teams to clarify project requirements.

Price variations and revised scopes as drawings or site requirements change.

Maintain current pricing information and estimating records.

Provide clear handover information to construction and site teams following acceptance.

About You

Previous estimating experience within residential construction or a specialist trades business.

Commercial estimating experience would be highly regarded.

Strong ability to read plans, interpret specifications and complete accurate take-offs.

A practical understanding of construction methods, sequencing and labour requirements.

Experience estimating AAC panels, walling, cladding, rendering or flooring packages would be highly regarded.

Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness.

Confidence using estimating software, digital take-off tools and Excel.

The ability to manage multiple quotations and meet deadlines.

Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with builders and suppliers.

A relevant trade, estimating or construction qualification would be advantageous.

Work closely with construction and operations teams in a specialist business supporting residential and commercial builders. Your estimates will help secure work and give delivery teams a clear, accurate scope from the outset.
