Job summary

Cladding Creations in Burleigh Heads is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead estimates for complex architectural façade projects. You will mentor a junior estimator while delivering accurate tenders and taking ownership of high-value work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare accurate estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions for complex projects.
• Mentor and review work of a junior estimator and support their development.
• Build strong client relationships, including head contractors and architects.
• Identify new business opportunities and track project progress.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Drafting; oversee CRM reporting.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced estimator who is confident, hands-on, and ready to take ownership of complex work while helping others grow. Ideally, you will:

Have at least 5 years’ experience in estimating or quantity surveying within the construction industry, ideally in cladding, façade, or architectural building products

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent Cladding Creations directly with clients and head contractors

Be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised

Have a proven track record preparing accurate estimates, quantity take-offs, and tenders on complex projects, through to negotiation and win

Be an out-of-the-box thinker and natural problem-solver

Be committed to excellence, continuous development, and collaboration

Have some experience guiding, reviewing, or mentoring a junior team member, or a genuine interest in developing that capability

Formal qualifications in estimating, quantity surveying, or construction management (e.g., AIQS) are well regarded, but proven experience carries the most weight.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a critical, senior role in identifying, quoting, negotiating, and securing profitable work for Cladding Creations, while helping build the capability of our wider estimating team. Key responsibilities include:

• Independently preparing accurate estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for complex, high-value projects
• Mentoring and guiding a junior estimator, reviewing their work, sharing your expertise, and supporting their development
• Building and nurturing strong client relationships, including direct engagement with head contractors and architects
• Identifying new business opportunities and tracking project progress
• Collaborating with internal teams including Project Management and Drafting
• Overseeing reporting through CRM systems and monthly updates
