• Project handover & setup: Set up won projects, issue PO's, finalize subcontractor rates, contracts, and hand off to site execution.

About the Role

WOW Recruitment are partnering with a family owned market leader in the construction solutions space, based out of their Smithfield office. They are seeking an Estimator to take true ownership of their commercial and B2B quoting process. This role is ideal for someone who is a 'people person'.

You will be the bridge between technical estimating and client engagement. You’ll take charge of B2B quoting, conduct plan takeoffs and nurture client relationships, freeing up senior leadership while driving conversion rates and keeping projects moving smoothly. An ideal role for an Estimator/Junior Estimator who is a people person and enjoys the client communication element of a role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Quoting & Estimation:Manage incoming B2B, commercial, civil, builder and strata inquiries. Conduct plan takeoffs, calculate material specs and offer value-engineered solutions while protecting profit margins
• Customer Nurturing & Sales Support:Pick up the phone to proactively follow up on quotes, handle technical inquiries, overcome objections and guide clients consultatively towards a commercial outcome that's best for both parties
• Project Handover & Setup:Set up won projects by issuing purchase orders, agreeing on subcontractor rates, executing contracts and handing off active site execution to the Commercial Project Lead.

You Will Have

• 1–3+ years of experiencein construction estimation (civil, landscaping, building, specialist trades or subcontracting background preferred).
• Comfortable working in a close-knit, agile environment where you will gain exposure to other areas of the business
• Excellent plan-reading ability with high attention to detail to ensure accurate pricing.
• A proactive communicator with confidence picking up the phone, building consultative relationships with clients, and following up leads.
