Design & Build Recruitment in the Sydney Hills District NSW is seeking a hands-on Estimator with solid residential construction estimating experience. You will price projects from plans, perform take-offs, and secure subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate, commercially sound estimates.

The role spans pre-construction/sales estimating and production estimating, with emphasis on high-end custom homes and renovations across Sydney.

Competenze

Our client is a well established custom homebuilder based in the Hills District. Due to an increase in work, they are looking to add an additional person to their Estimating team.

The business specialise in high-end custom homes and renovations on projects across Sydney. They have a very strong and well respected reputation in the industry, and we are working exclusively with them on this search.

The Role

This is a hands on estimating position suited to someone with solid residential construction estimating experience.

You will be involved in pricing projects from plans, completing take-offs, obtaining subcontractor pricing and ensuring estimates are accurate and commercially sound.

The role will have exposure across both pre-construction/sales estimating and production estimating, so experience across both areas would be highly regarded.

• Prepare accurate estimates and tenders from architectural and construction plans
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs and pricing
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Review plans, specifications and documentation to identify scope and cost requirements

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous residential estimating experience
• Experienced using estimating software such as Databuild, Cubit or similar
• Experience pricing custom homes, renovations, extensions or similar residential projects
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and costs
• Good knowledge of take-offs, quantities and subcontractor pricing
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction documentation
• Experience with estimating/take-off software
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
