Chandler Macleod in Fairfield, VIC is seeking a reliable Hire Assistant to join a busy equipment hire business. The role blends office, yard and delivery work to support daily branch operations.

You will manage bookings, invoices, deliveries and equipment inspections while prioritising safety and customer service. A hands-on attitude and a current licence are essential; sponsorship available for required certificates.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment hire, trade services, construction, customer service or similar environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to drive utes/trucks.

Responsabilités

• Manage customer enquiries, hire bookings and equipment returns.
• Prepare hire contracts, invoices and process payments.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections.
• Drive company utes and trucks as required.
• Prepare and inspect equipment before and after hire.
• Provide customers with guidance on safe equipment use.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve enquiries.
• Liaise with workshop regarding damaged or faulty equipment.
• Support general yard operations and equipment movements.
• Ensure branch, vehicles and equipment are ready for daily operations.
