Job summary

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting – Brisbane QLD is supporting a local government client in recruiting for a Sample Reception Officer to join their NATA accredited environmental testing laboratory in Darra on a 6-month contract. The role pays $39.94 per hour plus super, with a 38-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

You will receive, inspect, and register water and environmental samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), verify documentation, and act as the main contact for

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory or similarly regulated environment.
• Experience with LIMS or comparable databases.
• ISO 17025 or NATA accreditation familiarity is a plus.
• Strong customer service and phone manner.
• High attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and register water and environmental samples into the LIMS.
• Verify sample documentation and chain of custody records for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate sample storage, preservation and distribution to testing sections.
