Job summary

HFH Auto Group is seeking an entry-level Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Central Administration team in the Berwick area. You’ll support the AR function under mentorship, handling daily bank statements, debtor ledgers, and customer inquiries in a lively, long-standing dealership culture.

The role offers hands-on mentoring, real career development, and a supportive team. It’s a full-time position with on-site parking, salary between $58,000 and $65,000 plus super, and full working rights

• Previous experience in an Accounts or Administration role.

• Flexible, Organized and able to meet deadlines.
• Dealership experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Daily Processing of Bank Statements.
• Maintenance of the Debtor's ledger.
• Process EFTPOS and credit card slips received from the sites daily.
• Attend to all telephone and email enquiries from debtors and provide copy invoices and statements where required.
• Managing queries from customers, dealerships and staff.
• Sending and receiving email communication.
• Assist with collection of Cash Sales, Insurance and Fleet accounts if necessary.
• Follow up outstanding and delinquent debtors for payment via telephone calls, letters and instructions to debt collection agencies.
• Run an aged trial balance regularly & submit on a monthly basis for review ensuring amounts in 90+ days are kept to a minimum and unallocated amounts are promptly cleared.
• Facilitate credit overrides requested by other departments if considered appropriate.
• Run and distribute Debtor Reports.
• Raise invoices where required & forward to business units & customers for payment, as required.
• Reconcile Manufacturer payments received ensuring all contra's are correctly recorded.
• Back up to other Administration staff members as required.

You'll work under the mentorship of our Accountant and Senior Accounts Officer and share responsibility for the Accounts Receivable function.
