Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Systems Support Analyst to oversee service desk operations, configure enterprise systems, and support data reporting for the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience portfolio. This 18‑month fixed-term, hybrid role involves coordinating issues, working with InPlace/Sonia, and delivering practical system solutions with a focus on user success.

The role reports to the Lead, Enterprise Systems and Planning and requires strong stakeholder engagement, Excel reporting

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise systems and providing user support.
• Ability to analyse and resolve system issues within established frameworks.
• Experience coordinating service desk activities and managing competing priorities.
• Experience developing reports using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
• Familiarity with higher education systems such as InPlace or Sonia would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service desk operations, triaging and assigning issues, and resolving where possible.
• Provide SME support for Employability systems and stakeholders.
• Configure systems, support new course setups, translate business requirements into solutions.
• Perform data migration activities with accuracy and completeness.
• Support compliance reporting and provide data for reporting obligations.
• Develop and generate reports and manipulate data to support business needs.
• Review system updates and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Monitor system integrations and coordinate with UNSW IT and vendors.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain system documentation.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
