Job summary

NSW Police Force is seeking an Application Developer to join the Application Platform Services - MobiPol Team within the Technology and Communication Services Command. The role focuses on developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting software, web and multimedia applications to drive business outcomes and efficiency.

You will contribute to building, testing and maintaining critical applications and platform services that support operational policing and corporate functions across NSW

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise applications and platform services.
• Participates in the delivery of application features, enhancements and bug fixes under the guidance of senior team members.
• Supports application testing, troubleshooting and defect resolution activities.
• Assists with analysing user requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Contributes to the maintenance and support of business-critical applications, integrations and related technologies.
• Participates in the investigation and resolution of application incidents and service requests.
• Works collaboratively with developers, analysts, testers and business stakeholders to deliver technology outcomes.
• Assists in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, support procedures and user guides.
• Supports implementation and deployment activities in accordance with established development and change management processes.
• Applies secure coding practices and assists with ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.
• Develops technical skills, knowledge and experience across application development, integration technologies and enterprise platforms.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing activities within the team.
