Job summary

The successful candidate will contribute to school priorities, mentor colleagues, and participate in ongoing professional learning to support wellbeing and achievement across the school community.

Qualifications

• SC1 Knowledge of the relevant curriculum; ability to teach literacy and numeracy; respond to student needs.
• SC2 Plan and implement high impact teaching strategies; evaluate impact on student growth.
• SC3 Monitor and assess student learning; use data to inform practice; provide feedback to students/parents.
• SC4 Interpersonal and communication skills; build collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the school community.
• SC5 Reflect on practice; engage in professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake teaching-related and organizational duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
