Core Talent is seeking an Engineering Solutions Specialist for Water Treatment and Dewatering in the Sydney Metro area, operating largely from Newcastle. You will close high-value deals by translating site challenges into technical equipment solutions with the support of an offshore design team.

Expect 50% field work, engaging Tier-1 and Tier-2 contractors, and building long-term client relationships. Competitive salary, car, device bundle, and bi-annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven background in groundworks, shoring, propping, sheet piling, dewatering or industrial pumping solutions.
• Strong solution-selling capability with a drive to win business and grow accounts.
• Able to visit construction sites or lead client meetings and articulate technical value clearly.
• Based in or around Newcastle/Hunter with solid knowledge of regional civil construction.
• Civil or engineering background plus proven sales track record in plant hire, shoring or pumping sectors.

Responsibilities

• Engage Tier-1 and Tier-2 civil contractors and understand site needs across dewatering and shoring.
• Manage and grow a regional contractor portfolio with lead-generated and self-prospected meetings.
• Capture site specs and technical language with Sydney design team to tailor solutions and pricing.

About the Role

Are you a driven and technical sales professional who understands the ins and outs of civil groundworks, shoring, or water pumping solutions? Do you thrive when sitting in front of contractors, speaking their language, and translating complex site challenges into winning, technical equipment solutions? Meetings will be booked for you, it's your role to turn up and close the client by providing top product and technical knowledge.

We areseeking an Engineering Solutions Specialist based out of the Newcastle branch to join an industry leader in plant and temporary works hire. Backed by expert Sydney-based design and engineering team, you won't be chained to a desk or lost in drafting software. Instead, you'll be out in the field 50% of the time building key client relationships, identifying deep excavation or dewatering requirements, and driving high-value commercial deals across theNewcastle, and wider Newcastle region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage Tier-1 and Tier-2 civil contractors, understanding their site needs across deep excavation, propping, shoring, and fluid management
• Manage and expand a key portfolio of regional civil contractors, attending lead-generated and self-prospected client meetings
• Gather site specifications and technical lingo on-site, collaborating directly with the Sydney design team to build tailored, cost-effective solutions and pricing
• Manage risk, oversee project administration, and push internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery from quotation through to on-site implementation

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven background in groundworks, shoring systems, propping, sheet piling, dewatering, or industrial pumping solutions
• Strong solution-selling capability with a genuine hunger to win business and grow accounts
• Ability to walk onto a construction site or sit in a boardroom, earn respect, and articulate technical value clearly
• Based in or around Newcastle/Hunter with a solid understanding of the regional civil construction market
• Civil or engineering background combined with a proven sales track record (e.g., from plant hire, shoring, or pumping sectors)
