Coates in South Australia is seeking an Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our team. You will work with customers, the sales and engineering teams to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions across our Engineering Solutions portfolio throughout concept to completion.

The role emphasizes solving customer challenges, building strong relationships and driving growth while upholding Coates' Safety First culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, engineering solutions or solution-based selling.
• Industry experience within construction, civil infrastructure, water management, utilities or related sectors.
• Ability to understand customer challenges and develop practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Experience working with engineers, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Strong commercial mindset with a focus on growth, profitability and customer outcomes.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach and strong problem-solving ability.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth across Coates' Engineering Solutions products and services.
• Work collaboratively with customers to understand project requirements and develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Support projects from concept, design and specification through to delivery and completion.
• Collaborate with design and temporary works engineers to deliver technically sound and commercially viable outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, engineers and project stakeholders.
• Identify new customer opportunities and emerging market trends.
• Provide product knowledge, technical guidance and training to sales and operational teams.
• Support the introduction and implementation of new products and solutions.
• Champion Coates' Safety First culture in all customer and stakeholder interactions.

We're looking for an Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our South Australian team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically credible and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys solving customer challenges, building strong relationships and delivering innovative engineering solutions.

Working closely with customers, the wider Coates sales team, engineering teams and operational teams, you'll help develop and deliver practical solutions across our Engineering Solutions portfolio while driving category growth and supporting project success from concept through to completion.
