Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a senior engineering leader to partner with the Product Manager and guide a team of 30 engineers and 5 lead engineers. You will own the engineering roadmap, platform delivery and operational health while shaping the long-term vision for internal CRM and tooling.

You will foster ownership, drive architectural excellence and establish strong release practices, CI/CD, and on-call support, balancing strategic work with urgent priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of people management.
• Experience leading engineering leaders, organising teams for success and building a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Strong capability in architecture and system design, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and CI/CD.
• Ability to own an engineering roadmap, make sound technical decisions and balance planned work with urgent priorities.
• A product and commercial mindset, with the ability to understand internal customer needs and influence Product and senior leaders; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 30 engineers and 5 lead engineers; own the engineering roadmap and platform delivery.
• Oversee operational health and shape long-term vision for internal CRM and tooling.
• Organise the team for success, drive ownership and autonomy, and strengthen architecture and release practices.
