Job summary

Interface Agency in Sydney's Western Suburbs is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical input to guide a business-critical platform powering customer communications across multiple brands and channels.

You will design and deliver scalable platforms, champion CI/CD and DevOps, mentor engineers, and partner with Product and senior technology stakeholders to set direction and drive delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in software engineering, with 4-5+ years in leadership.
• Strong hands-on background in .NET technologies.
• Experience designing system integrations using REST APIs, events and messaging.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong experience with AWS and containerised workloads.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies (SQL Server, DynamoDB, Redis or similar).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, observability and production support practices.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management and delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and continuous improvement of reliable platforms and integrations.
• Drive API-first, event-driven integration between on-prem and SaaS.
• Coach, mentor and develop engineers to build a high-performing team.
• Own technical strategy alongside Product and senior stakeholders.
• Champion CI/CD, DevOps, observability and production support best practices.
• Balance customer needs, priorities, compliance and delivery pace.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership on solution design when required.
