Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a senior engineering lead for the content platform that powers macquarie.com.au. You will guide technical direction, remain hands-on with design, reviews and production support, and work with Product and engineering teams across the organisation to plan and deliver modernisation initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, champion reliability, and define how the team plans and delivers its work in a fast-evolving digital environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and clean design.
• Experience with content management or content platform engineering; AEM experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Proven technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and ownership of platform reliability.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with proactive problem solving.
• Confident collaboration with Product and other stakeholders to resolve technical differences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team responsible for the content platform, providing technical direction and hands-on design, code reviews and production support.
• Partner with Product and engineering teams to shape the platform’s future and guide migration and modernisation programmes.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform reliability and incident responsiveness.
• Define team plans, deliverables and prioritisation to align with business goals.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure effective communication and timely delivery of features.
