Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide a team delivering Cloud-first solutions for public and private markets in our asset management business. You will set technical direction, own outcomes, and collaborate across product, analytics and central teams to achieve strategic objectives.

With 10+ years in technology, finance experience, and 3+ years in engineering leadership, you will drive delivery excellence, design decisions and scalable solutions on enterprise platforms

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology experience in any programming language, with Python and React.js highly regarded.
• Finance experience required, Asset Management or Capital Markets experience mandatory, with knowledge of Transaction Reporting valued.
• 3+ years in formal engineering leadership with a proven track record managing an engineering team.
• Ability to align priorities with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Proven delivery of complex initiatives in an agile environment with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of high-performing engineers across initiatives spanning public and private markets.
• Provide technical guidance, own outcomes, ways of working, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to solution design decisions and partner with engineering leads on technology strategy.
• Ensure delivery of complex initiatives in an agile environment with balanced risk and timelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts and stakeholders to align priorities.
