Job summary

AEMO is recruiting an Engineering Manager - Congestion Modelling to lead a specialist engineering function in the WA Division. You will oversee capability development, workforce planning and governance to support system planning and operations.

You will work in a matrix environment with senior business leaders to deliver critical engineering services, meet regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across WA energy markets.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience leading technical or engineering teams in complex operating environments.
• Strong governance, risk management, and professional-standards understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a high-performing engineering team.
• Partner with business leaders to align priorities and deliver outcomes across multiple workstreams.
• Develop and manage workforce plans including capability requirements and budget management.
• Build and sustain engineering capability by addressing skill gaps and professional development.
• Oversee delivery of engineering services and ensure prioritised, resourced execution.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, governance frameworks and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and risk oversight with informed decision-making.
