Job summary

AEMO is Australia's independent energy system and market operator and system planner. The Engineer in the System Planning team will apply technical expertise to assess power system capability and develop solutions that support current and future stakeholder needs.

You will analyse system performance, generate insights, and provide advice to senior engineers, management, and external stakeholders, contributing to the Integrated System Plan and other planning publications.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related field.
• Experience with power system analysis tools and load flow studies.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering analysis to support system planning and reliability.
• Deliver reports and insights on network capability and performance.
• Contribute to ISP, ESOO and related planning publications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve planning outcomes.
