Job summary

CommBank is seeking a Crew Tech Lead to shape the engineering direction of Complaints platforms and modern AI-enabled capabilities. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor a diverse engineering org, and push for scalable, secure systems that improve customer journeys.

You will lead cross-functional teams across cloud-native services, APIs and event-driven patterns, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large engineering organisations within a complex enterprise.
• Hands-on depth to challenge designs, influence architecture and mentor senior engineers.
• Experience with cloud-native, microservices and API-led architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organisation with ownership and technical excellence.
• Shape the technology roadmap for Complaints and Operations capabilities aligning with enterprise architecture.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud-native platforms and event-driven systems.
• Drive AI/GenAI adoption and safe operational AI with governance and observability.
• Build partnerships with Product, Data, Risk and Technology teams to translate strategy into outcomes.
