Job summary

Sharp and Carter seeks an experienced Trainer to join a large-scale technology transformation program, developing practical learning resources to support new operational systems and ways of working.

You’ll translate complex information into engaging training materials, work instructions and user guides, collaborating with technical SMEs, analysts and change professionals to ensure teams can confidently use new systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing training content for complex software systems.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to interpret technical docs, user stories and SME input.
• Solid understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Experience producing work instructions, user guides and process documentation.
• Excellent written communication tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with Azure DevOps and Confluence.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage docs across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborative approach working with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training materials, system user guides, work instructions, process flows and quick reference guides.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, practical learning resources from user stories, docs and SME discussions.
• Work with SMEs, developers, analysts and training staff to understand new systems and processes.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to create effective content for diverse audiences.
• Prepare training content for face-to-face, online, and self-service delivery.
• Support train-the-trainer activities and post-go-live education.
• Maintain documentation through sprints and product increments, ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure resources meet accessibility, readability and documentation standards.
