Job summary

Energy Queensland is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Rockhampton or Newstead to be the first point of contact for customers. You will triage calls, provide accurate information and help resolve enquiries across channels, contributing to excellent customer experiences and operational success.

The role operates within a fast-paced Customer Operations team and includes participation in the Emergency Event Standby Roster (24/7).

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, contact centres or a similar customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to explain information clearly.
• Ability to manage sensitive or challenging customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-focused environment while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Experience using CRM or workflow/contact centre systems.
• Exposure to rostered environments and responding to changing customer demands.
