Job summary

Locality Planning Energy Pty – Maroochydore is seeking a Customer Support Officer to be the first point of contact for energy customers. You’ll handle phone and email enquiries, move-ins/out, and billing questions with calm, practical help.

Based in our Sunshine Coast office, you’ll work in a supportive team, gain exposure to the energy industry, and enjoy a long-term, stable role with access to training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
• Clear verbal and written communication; handle calls politely.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable follow-through.
• Comfort with Microsoft 365, Excel, and ticketing/CRM systems.
• Adaptable to work across teams as needed.
• Nice to have: call-centre or utilities experience.
• Diverse backgrounds welcome; long-term Sunshine Coast role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to general enquiries with empathy and efficiency across phone and email.
• Set up account activations and move-ins/out; liaise with site stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot billing and usage concerns with Billing team.
• Arrange payment plans, manage early debt activity and disconnection notices.
• Support customers experiencing hardship via established processes.
• Keep accurate notes and follow compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the team and wider business to improve workflows.
