Job summary

TAL Services Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Claims Consultant to support AusSuper across the TAL Group. You will manage life insurance claims from start to finish, delivering a seamless customer experience for advisers, trustees, fund administrators and members.

Qualifications

• Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy, IP and/or TPD preferred.
• Workers' Compensation or Return to Work claims management with Allied Health background.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving & time‑management skills.
• Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
• Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer and adviser experience, including regular communication on claim status and managing expectations.
• Independently manage a portfolio of IP and TPD claims end-to-end.
• Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
• Engage external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants, and in-house medical/legal specialists; deliver timely outcomes.
• Provide exceptional customer service in line with policies and procedures.
• Participate in case conferences, peer discussions, and instruct third-party service providers.
