Job summary

Acenda Life in Australia is seeking an experienced Case Consultant to join our Group Claims team. In this customer-facing role you'll manage a portfolio of TPD claims from assessment through finalisation, delivering fair, timely and high-quality outcomes for customers.

You'll work closely with claimants, solicitors, trustees and medical professionals to assess complex information, make sound decisions and ensure claims are managed in line with industry requirements, with hybrid work arrangements

Qualifications

• Experience managing Life Insurance claims, preferably within TPD.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyse complex medical and financial data.
• Organised with attention to detail and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of TPD claims from assessment to final determination.
• Review medical, financial and factual information for claim decisions.
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence in line with guidelines and requirements.
• Prepare detailed claim assessments and decision letters.
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, trustees, employers and medical professionals.
• Deliver positive customer experiences through empathetic communication.
• Ensure claims are managed in accordance with legislative, compliance and risk requirements.
