Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join its Finance team. You will manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring invoices are accurate and queries resolved efficiently, while supporting broader financial operations.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders in a collaborative professional services environment, handling complex billing activities and contributing to cash flow improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, accounts, finance administration or a similar transactional finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end billing activities, including preparing, reviewing and issuing invoices to clients.
• Manage work-in-progress (WIP), including monitoring outstanding balances, reviewing draft bills and coordinating write-offs where required.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies, invoice queries and credit note requests.
• Prepare and analyse billing reports to identify outstanding WIP, potential issues and opportunities to improve cash flow.
• Manage complex billing requirements, including discounts, disbursements, invoice splits and multi-payer arrangements.
• Maintain accurate client and matter details, ensuring billing information is complete and up to date.
• Ensure all billing activities comply with internal policies, client requirements and relevant GST guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, reporting accuracy and overall efficiency.
