Cooinda Lodge Kakadu, nestled in Kakadu National Park, NT, Australia, invites a skilled cook to join a dedicated kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and serve food that delights guests, working across a busy station and maintaining top quality.

This role integrates with a team focused on safety, efficiency and guest satisfaction. The position requires a commercial cookery qualification and post-apprenticeship experience in hospitality, with a strong emphasis on WHS and food safety.

Qualifications

• Commercial cookery qualification obtained.
• Minimum two years post-apprenticeship experience in hotel or restaurant.
• Knowledge of WHS and food safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work unsupervised with time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Working on several orders at once.
• Constantly keeping the station clean and sanitized.
• Ensuring the station is properly stocked with food and equipment.
• Assuming responsibility for output quality from the station.
• Creating high-quality food to standard.

Job Description

What You Will Be Doing

• Working on several orders at once
• Constantly keeping the station clean and sanitized

• Assuming 100% responsibility for the quality of output from the station
• Creating food of the highest quality and to the standards
• Communicating effectively with the rest of the team and responding to guest feedback
• Actively sharing ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus

Qualifications

• A commercial cookery qualification with at least two years of post‑apprenticeship experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment
• Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes
• Knowledge of WHS and food safety policies and procedures
• Relevant food preparation and service knowledge
• Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time‑management skills
• Unlimited work rights in Australia
