Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to live and work on-site at Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, NT, a short drive from Uluru. Qualified with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, you will oversee kitchen operations, assist menu planning, inventory, scheduling and work closely with senior chefs to maintain high standards of quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Experience overseeing kitchen operations across multiple outlets is preferred.
• Ability to assist in menu planning, inventory control and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
• Assist kitchen management with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with kitchen management to ensure smooth operation and efficiency; assist senior chefs as needed.
• Support administrative tasks such as end-of-month processes, stock takes and inventories.
• Set an example of professional behaviors and conduct for the team.

An Epic Icon needs an Epic Icon! Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Junior Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Ulu r u, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are currently seeking a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Qualified SousChef who is highly skilled and experienced in Multi venue operationslead our Kitchen. In this role, you will oversee the operations of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of quality and profitability. Your ultimate goal will be to provide excellent products and services to our guests while also driving sustainable and profitable outlets. It will be your responsibility to assist the Food & Beverage operations Manager in creating and maintaining training programs to ensure that our associates have the necessary skills and framework to effectively perform their jobs and maintain the highest standards of culinary services.

Key Duties

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
• Assist the kitchen management Team with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with the kitchen management team to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently; and
• Assist senior chefs when necessary, during regular administration activities like End of Month, stock take count, inventories etc.
• Set an example of professional behaviours, including presentation and conduct, for all team member to follow.
