Ability Options in NSW is hiring a customer service consultant to be the first point of contact for customers seeking employment support. The role is telephone-focused, helping people build confidence and explore employment opportunities.

Prior experience in disability services is welcome but not essential; strong customer service and listening skills are key. The position is Max-Term Full-time until October 2028, based in Ryde/Brookvale and Chatswood NSW with some travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or call-centre environments preferred.
• Ability to connect with diverse people and understand their needs.
• Comfort with basic administration and data keeping.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers and understand their goals.
• Identify opportunities and support customers to take steps toward employment.
• Provide encouragement, guidance and practical support.
• Connect with local businesses and employers to explore opportunities.
• Help customers prepare for work and feel confident in their abilities.
• Keep customer records up to date.
• Work with team and other organisations to achieve outcomes.
