Job summary

Sureway is seeking an Employment Consultant to support a caseload of participants, helping them own their journey to work and connect with local employers. You will build relationships, promote strengths, and coordinate supports to overcome barriers in the path to sustainable employment.

You don't need prior industry experience; curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly are essential as you engage the community and deliver results for diverse participants.

Qualifications

• You don't need direct industry experience, but you do need to be curious, proactive, and willing to learn quickly.
• We're looking for people who come prepared, take initiative, and back themselves to build strong relationships in the community.
• You will support your caseload, engage with employers, and promote participants' strengths to opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Working one-on-one with participants to set clear employment goals and action plans.
• Actively building relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
• Promoting participants' strengths and matching them to suitable roles.
• Supporting participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment.
• Identifying barriers and coordinating support services or training where needed.
• Managing your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving.
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting program compliance requirements.
• Representing Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections.
