Sureway Corowa is looking for an Employment Consultant to support participants, including people with disability, to pursue work goals and connect with local employers. This permanent part-time role (3 days per week) focuses on building relationships, assessing needs, and guiding participants toward sustainable employment.

You don’t need industry experience, but curiosity, initiative, and the ability to manage caseloads and coordinate supports will help you succeed in this community-focused role

• Strong communicators – you can build rapport quickly, ask the right questions, and adapt your approach to different people.
• Commercially aware – you understand what employers need and can promote candidates in a way that adds value.
• Curious and prepared – you take time to understand the role, sector, and people you’re working with.
• Transferable skills – you may come from sales, recruitment, customer service, or community services and apply those skills to outcomes.
• Resilient and solutions-focused – you stay focused when plans change and find practical ways forward.
• Organised and accountable – you can manage competing priorities, keep records, and meet expectations.

Responsabilités

• Working one-on-one with participants to set clear employment goals and action plans.
• Actively building relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
• Promoting participants’ strengths and matching them to suitable roles.
• Supporting participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment.
• Identifying barriers and coordinating support services or training where needed.
• Managing your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving.
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting program compliance requirements.
• Representing Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections.
